The Code Enforcement Officer's mission is to protect the health, safety and welfare of the public by ensuring that city, state and federal regulations on land usage, zoning, business permits and building access are being met.

 In conjunction with inspection and investigation of properties and buildings, the Department determines environmental or health hazards, nuisance violations and unsafe building conditions. Permits or citations are issued in accordance with the regulations of the city.
